EATx Cali examined how food systems could be rebuilt to ensure that consumers have access to healthy and more sustainably produced food. “We have to increase the autonomy of people to make choices when it comes to their diet”- stated Professor Carlos Monteiro (School of Public Health, University of São Paulo, Brazil) during the event.
The EAT Initiative together with the CGIAR Consortium and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), hosted the EATxCali forum on 30th October 2015, presenting a Latin American perspective on food, health and the environment.
