Gunhild Stordalen praises Swedish sustainability

"Sweden is Norway’s big brother. But when it comes to sustainability Sweden is the world’s big brother."
In her dinner speech at the EAT Stockholm Food Forum Monday 1 June, Dr. Stordalen gave tribute to the host city.
“People keep asking me: You’re Norwegian, so why did you choose Stockholm as venue for this conference?”
To back her point, Stordalen mentioned the significance of EAT’s scientific partner Stockholm Resilience Centre and its leader Johan Rockström.
“Stockholm has created a global gravitation field of research, sustainability and resilience. I’m proud that EAT has found a place right in the middle of this,” she said.
Sweden’s Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, who gave a speech at the EAT Forum Tuesday, said he was grateful for the positive comment, but underlined that also Sweden has a lot left to accomplish in the field.
