Davar Ardalan is director of Storytelling and Engagement at SecondMuse with extensive expertise in civic engagement and new technologies. She currently leads systems storytelling around food and nutrition, materials innovation, ocean health, and big data. As an award-winning journalist for over two decades at NPR News, her real-time campaigns cultivated thought leaders across platforms and reached millions on Twitter and Facebook. Ardalan is a contributor toHuffPost co-chairs the Stories and Audiences Committee of the global VR/ARAssociation, and has been recognized with two NABJ Awards, a Gracie Award from the American Women in Radio and Television and a shout-out in the popular comic strip Zippy. In May 2014, she was the recipient of an Ellis Island Medal of Honor, for individual achievement and for promoting cultural unity.
